Our take on an English cottage garden to complement the cutest pink house in the neighborhood! While not our usual style, we were up to the challenge of creating a pink-forward, perennial-heavy patio garden that provided some privacy from the street below and enclosed an intimate seating area. We made sure to keep it a bit wild and informal while still being a relaxed space for this growing family. With all of the flowers and airy shrubs and grasses, there is so much movement to enjoy in this space on a breezy morning.
We tied the surrounding street scape plantings into the design with pink flowering trees, wispy grasses and warm-hued flowers that pop next to the rusty tones of the basalt boulders. An untreated cedar picket fence and arbor will weather to a soft silver as this garden grows in. Planted in Spring 2024, we think it’s doing a phenomenal job already.
